George Richardson is a designer, maker and artist, whose practise is centred around exploring material and process. With a current emphasis on exploring wood, Richardson's design process is led by the reinterpretation of traditional techniques and material properties. His works range from furniture, sculptural objects and traditional timber framing.

Having studied product and furniture design at Kingston School of Art, graduating in 2022, his final piece was picked up by Heal’s during the 2022 LDF, and his Turned Table is now sold around the UK in Heal’s retailers and online.  Following this, Richardson went on to complete the new Prince's Foundation course: Rethinking Wood for Furniture, which fosters a holistic outlook into designing, with a particular emphasis on making furniture out of solid timber - ‘from planting to planking’. He is now based in London and working for Jan Hendzel Studio.
